Summer is a great time to give your crystals a bath and put them out in the sun. Consider, though, the following precautions.

Soft crystals, like selenite, malachite, and azurite, shouldn't be soaked in water. Rub them with a damp cloth and clear them with smoke from a smudge stick. This also applies to angelite.

Ning has no current capacity to prevent photos from appearing on the main page, and I don't want to restrict people, except to request that, if possible, photos relate to the themes of crystals and essences.

Hi, Everyone,

As some of you know, we have a Ning-type problem with photos. People have, with all good intentions, uploaded photos for their pages within this network. Unfortunately, these are showing up on the main page, and they lose their specialness, since they're out of context.

I've written to the Ning owners/developers about this problem and hope to get an answer soon. Until then I'm holding photos in cyberspace. If Ning can't immediately resolve the issue, I'll approve… Continue

When I had a store in Manhattan, I used to smudge it regularly. A store is a public place, and that means anyone can come in, bringing their vibrations with them.

My crystal store mainly attracted people who loved crystals, and that created good energy. Some people came in out of curiosity, which was neutral, and some came in and felt uncomfortable. They were experiencing vibrations that were unfamiliar to them, and some tried to cover up their discomfort by acting scornful.
